Strong pumpkin and nice cover

The rich, depth of flavor makes this a powerful and robust option for a fall cocktail.

Not a fan of barrel aged beers, but this probably one of my favorites

this was pretty good. boozy, but also had an interesting (weird) taste to it. tasted almost like soda or Coca-Cola. odd. couldn’t quite figure out if it was from the rum barrels or not. regardless, this was tasty.

Not sure why my experience was so different but I thought it was pretty good. Decent balance between the pumpkin and rum for me. Like a boozy pumpkin pie complete with the spices.

One of the most enjoyable pumpkin beers I’ve had. Perfect balance of spices, pumpkin, and rum-boozy punch.

Definitely different. You can taste the rum barrels and pumpkin very well but that’s not a bad thing.

Best pumpkin beer I’ve tasted. Good mixture of pumpkin and cinnamon. Delightful fall sip.

Love that rum kick

When I first smelled this beer, I was enticed with subtle pumpkin spice notes, but after tasting they were a bit too subtle. The rum flavor was very present, but with the high alcohol content, it tasted more like a pumpkin beer spiked with some rum than a pumpkin beer aged in rum barrels

Rum barrel aged but you still taste the pumpkin & spices.

Best pumpkin beer I've ever had!

One of the best pumpkin beers I've had! The first sip you can tell that this is different. Would totally buy again!

too much rum, not enough pumpkin.

Second best to my favorite pumpkin brew - Shipyard pumpkinhead. It was complex, spicy, but not overly malty or sweet, and the flavors didn't taste like extracts like so many other pumpkin brews.

Great pumpkin flavor!

just okay. maybe just me but rum and pumpkin doesn’t seem to mix into a good beer very often. It’s a bit boozy and not a ton of flavor outside rum and pumpkin.

Don’t know what happened here but somethings wrong with this brew. Starts out bland and forgettable but eventually evolves into a poor man’s rum nightmare. Gets 1/2 a star for its nose that’s worthy of being put into a Yankee Candle.

Yummy...sweet cinnamon up front, then a hint of vegetal pumpkin as the buttery rum kicks in, then a warming finish that gets more boozy as it fades.

Wow! One of the better pumpkin beers I’ve had. Rum barrel adds a nice sweetness following the pumpkin. It’s almost too sweet, though.

The booziness obliterates any other aspect of of the beer. All I tasted was alcohol. Smelled delicious though. Not sure what happened here.

I couldn’t stomach this one. Too rich in alcohol flavor, not enough pumpkin

Way above average pumpkin beer. Anyone who says this is too boozy is a lightweight and should stick with the Zima. Aromas of rum, wood, vanilla, pumpkin, a graham cracker-like breadiness, cinnamon and a touch of clove come out of the glass immediately after opening. Taste is light to moderately sweet, savory, lightly bitter and very faintly tart. Really nice barrel notes bring out the rum flavor without being overpowering and compliment the pumpkin pie flavors amazingly. Great stuff.

A little pumpkin, a little spice and a little barrel.

Rum comes through from the very first sip and the pumpkin takes a glide on it with spices in tow. Taste the rumbow.

Big spice smell, pumpkin & rum barrel.

very rummy and not too sweet. not much pumpkin or yam but it’s lighter and good.

Didn't feel like I noticed a ton of pumpkin, maybe on second go I will. Definitely taste the boozyness of the rum barrel and the cinnamon/sweet "fall flavors." Not bad

was nervous about the barrel aged. after the second can I must say that this was enjoyable. not too heavy with a good alcohol level kick.

This tasted like a rum spiked pumpkin ale! Not bad at all!

pumpkin, boozy, smooth, carmelly

Pumpkin pie delicious drowned in a barrel o’ rum. Despite the spices and barrel-aging, the pumpkin is still detectable – no mean feat. I’d actually like to taste this beer before barrel-aging.

tasted
like a pumpkin roll that was spiked.

Didn’t get too much pumpkin out of this one, but I’m a sucker for barrel aged beers.

packs a punch. your brain will tell you that you’re drinking captain Morgan, not beer. I purchased a few and have found that sometimes the pumpkin pie flavor comes through great and complements the rum and other times the rum just completely overpowers the palette and makes it hard to finish even a 12oz.

you can really taste the barrel age
