A Note on This Beer

Clint Wadsworth of Misbeehavin’ Meads didn’t want to send just any Mead to Tavour. He wanted to send “the biggest, baddest” dessert-inspired Mead around!

So, Clint and his award-winning* team set to work to craft a special batch of their local Indiana favorite, Same Old Jam - Raspberry, Marshmallow & Coconut, just for Tavour. The Fruited Mead steps away from tradition with real amounts of the title flavors, plus a dose of satiny lactose.

Misbeehavin’ channeled the taste of a Hostess Raspberry Zinger Cake for this “Pastry Mead,” working in even more luscious flavors of raspberry cheesecake and coconut ganache. The result is daringly-decadent: each sip swirls with coconut-topped berries ‘n cream flavors and a delightful honeyed sweetness.

Spectacular job capturing the flavor with the title. Thick, rich, viscous and tart, a perfect dessert drink. Definitely not for the pnw palate.

This was surprisingly great! I was expecting it to be too sweet and thin like the last Mead I had. But this was very nice. The sweet Raspberry and Marshmallow Combo was perfect with a Red Wine type of Tannin and glad it was Ice Chilled case this seemed to add to the overall balance. Not sure if that's how you drink a Mead like this, as my only other Mead experience was from a Canned Mead and it was not like this. Will be on the look out for this one again if it comes up on Tavour.

It's like having sweet desserts on berries, sugar, honey, and coconut. I was trying to get a fresh feeling of alcohol, but it ended in a circle. this is fucking good!!!

Some who purchase this seem to be confused. This is not a beer, it is a mead (honey wine). It is also meant to be dessert sweet. I find this akin to a delicious raspberry marshmallow ice cream. Probably needs to be shared given how sweet it is and it's high abv. Just know what you're getting yourself into when you purchase this. It is NOT a beer!

Very sweet. A little too artificial for me with the marshmallow BUT super great to cook with :) had with a grilled cheese and used it another time for mushrooms and it was amazing!

Ummmmmmmmmm dang boy! That’s got a lot of fruity goodness packed in there. Loads of raspberry and coconut. Mix in the sweetness of honey and the creamy marshmallow and you got yourself a winner. Looking to try some more from these boys.

Syrupy and tart, great combo of thick honey, creamy mallow, and sweet raspberry. Boozy at first, but finish transitions through the flavors and lingers with all of them.

this was a great tasting mead. not to sweet and loved the sour kick. to me that means wasn't too thick but my bottle had a little too much sediment in it which is why it wasn't a full 5 stars. overall yes I recommend
