About This Beer
To create it, the crew at Drake’s took their thick, rich base beer — brewed with four different specialty malts — and aged it in a blend of barrels from Heaven Hill Distillery.
Tasting Notes
The final product is boldly malty, with bold flavors of caramel, date, and toffee. Swirling bourbon notes mingle with hints of oaky vanilla and a touch of plum for a long, lingering finish. No matter when you open this bottle, it’ll feel just like Christmas.

This is a good Barleywine. Great fig, dried fruit, oak, and toffee. A couple years of aging will help to balance this out even more. Worth a try.

I wasn’t feeling this one. A bit too sweet for me. And it’s not a tasting note, but I’m so sick of wax dipped bottles.

Happy to have snagged this year’s release. Warm toffee, caramel, vanilla, some malt in the background and a hint of date sugar for a nicely balanced sweetness. An under-rated barleywine. #bil

this is a fantastic English style barley wine. I really don't understand how this is rated sub 4.0.

good, but not worth fighting the obnoxious amount of wax on it to get what’s inside.
