About This Beer
The team at Haw River Farmhouse Ales crafted the base of this dark Quadrupel using five different specialty malts, including one smoked with cherry wood. Then, they fermented it with Trappist-style yeast and Belgian candi syrup. Nearly a year of conditioning in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels with dried guajillo and toasted habanero chilis resulted in a smoldering and spicy sipper.
Tasting Notes
This brawny brew will lead you through scales of oaky vanilla, toasted cacao, leathery whiskey, and muddled cherry, in the key of 12.2% ABV. The harmony of sweet and heat on your tongue balances expertly with the booze and chilis for an unforgettably layered experience.
