About This Beer
Gabe Fletcher and his crew created this 16% ABV experimental hybrid as an exploration of what dark, luscious, barrel aged beer can be. Then they aged it in a blend of Willet Rye and 15 year 1792 Calumet Farms bourbon barrels!
Tasting Notes
We expect every sip to overflow with nuances of rich fudge and a touch of roasty coffee. Essences of date and fig should linger long after the sip, elevating notes of whiskey caramel, spicy rye, and a gentle hint of oak.

Sweet, not as thick as I thought it would be, but the gang in Anchorage in my book are the kings of craft beer. I've had over 100 beers by them, and honestly have never been disappointed. While that may sound cheesy, I've had all the big boys, and I feel Anchorage is the brewery that makes the most beers that don't disappoint you when tasting. And that's tough. 9/10 of their beers are amazing. And I can't think of another brewery in the 48 states that has done that. And they should be #1 on Beer Advocate, not KBBS by Toppling. This beer is amazing....and I'm looking forward to the coconut variant tomorrow 🍻
