A Note on This Beer

It’s not magic that makes today’s Fruited Sour from WeldWerks and Bottle Logic taste so enchanting — it’s Science!

The team took a tangy, Berliner Weisse-style base and stuffed it with oodles (that’s a technical term) of raspberries and blueberries for overflowing flavors of sweet-tart fruit. Carefully calculated quantities of vanilla and toasted coconut, plus a ribbon of silky lactose, give it all an extra-creamy feel.

It’s no wonder this craveable concoction is one of the Top 20 Berliner-style Weisse beers on the app — the last time we had it, Tavoursters were seriously impressed, saying:

Medium bodied swigs start off with underripe berry tones before transforming into pink Jolly Rancher nuances wrapped up in a smooth vanilla hug. A touch of coconut lingers in the finish, inviting you back for more.

My hypothesis is that you’ll be shouting, “Eureka!” after the first sip. But if you want to feel like a REAL genius, you might want to nab a couple extra cans!

Berries and cream aroma with raspberries really the star. Light tartness up front with berries and hints of vanilla popping up midway through taste. Didn’t find any coconut, though I’m not sure it’s needed in this beer.

This beer is by far the best sour I have had. All the flavors work harmoniously together and it has that amazing sweet-tart finish that makes you want to keep coming back for more

Great sour!! (Not a usual statement I make) A fabulous balance of sweet and sour tempered with a subtle coconut.

This beer was great. Tart up front but goes straight into red raspberry and blueberry skin. Finishes sweet with vanilla. I didn't get coconut, but it may have blended in with the sweet vanilla. No chunky, pulpy fruit dropping in from the bottom of the can. This is a great fruited sour.

Very nice aroma. Really tasty and berry forward with a nice coconut finish. In my opinion the coconut lingers too much and can become the overlapping, almost dominant flavor which takes away from the other berries. I don’t hate that, but it definitely makes things unbalanced. Still a really nice sour ale.

Daily corona battle. Long day w the tiny terrorists edition. Two fave breweries come together, ya get. And enjoy. This is terrific. Beautiful and coconut leads, berry follows and deliciousness prevails.

The fruit is consistent till the last drop, it was mildly sour but the fruit was very well represented.
