About This Beer
Scythe Rye is one of Burial’s original, fan favorite recipes back as part of their 10-year anniversary series. They started with a malty base of European crystal and Riverbend Wren Abruzzi Rye for a sweet, spicy flavor. Then they layered it with Chinook and Columbus Hops before dry-hopping it all with Mosaic for luscious fruit tones.
Tasting Notes
Nuances of juicy grapefruit, mellow blueberry, and succulent pineapple lead the sip. Swaths of sweet rye bread notes follow, chased by a pinch of peppery spice. Shades of pine and orange peel make for a refreshing finish.

Crisp and refreshing with a strong,

Rye bread, peppery spice, aromas of tropical fruit. Burial brews amazing stuff.

Rye malts add a mild spiciness, enhanced by a peppery Columbus, piney Chinook, and pithy Summit hop profile. Fruity Mosaic hops add a subtle sweetness to balance out the spiciness and bitterness. Not overwhelmingly hoppy in flavor. Just a great, well balanced, and highly nuanced IPA.

Aromas of stone fruit, malted barley, and nice clean hops. A bit of rye spice in the palate with a nice, balanced, deep finish.
