First sip had an interesting taste, but after that, very easy to drink.

I'm not much of a fan of the lager style but still had to try this as I am a fan of dark beers. the molasses added some nice flavor while maintaining some lager characteristics. I would have this again...if I could

not for me- too dark and no a bland after taste

great crisp lager nose but it’s a little misleading as far as taste. not in a bad way. just seems more beery than the Vienna lager styled taste. sweet malt front with a balanced semi crisp finish. the finish has light hop profile with dark roast. it’s like a light dessert lager or breakfast lager.

Sweet molasses flavor, smoky & rich.

The 1st sip was really good, with smoke, fig, molasses, and malt flavors. But after that there is an herbal spice note that takes over for me, bringing my rating down

Molasses gives it a really interesting flavor. Classic dark lager taste, but with that sweet note.

I don't know why the overall rating is so low. This was a really nice dark lager. The molasses went really well with the grainy flavors.

Solid birthday brew. The molasses is a nice touch.

Like a cross between a dunkel and a brown ale with a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Unusual, but well-balanced and enjoyable.

I am rating the collaborative offering (Cajun Fire Brewing Co./Brooklyn Brewery) Seed, Stalk And Root. Heavy molasses taste which I liked but otherwise somewhat flat. Perfectly acceptable lager but room for improvement here.

This complex lager has a very sweet closing to it from the molasses. very good!
