About This Beer
This liquid treat takes the smooth oaky sweetness of Heaven’s Hill barrels and milk sugar and whips it into a crackling yule log of spicy Mexican hot chocolate! Smoky ancho chiles, dusky cinnamon, earthy cocoa nibs, and silky vanilla bring just enough depth and heat to give your taste buds a front-row seat to the fire!

Very nice blend of vanilla and chile. The smooth and spicy was evident from start to finish. Could even have been tastier had the flavors been more forward, but that is a minor issue with a great beer.

I wanted to like this even more but it was missing something

Amazing brew. Just a little sweet but amazing still.

Excellent cinnamon and cocoa notes with no noticeable ancho flavor

Disappointing - just cinnamon over powering everything else, a little tequila no spice

I loved this. Luxurious flavors to sip on slowly. Just enough booze to warm your belly.

Lots of cinnamon and a nice amount of heat at the back.

This was complex, dark, and spicy. Great combo of flavors.

Chili isn’t my thing

B-b-b-b-boozey. That’s good. Just enough heat to feel it but not overpower. The cinnamon and vanilla mix well. Love the Mexican hot chocolatey goodness. I’ll take another please!

Love the tequila notes. The barrel actuates the base so well. Highly recommended

Tequila barrel and chili’s complement each other well. Adds a balanced fig like sugar sweetness. Mouthfeel a bit light but doesn’t impact flavor. Solid.

Like cake, this is so freaking good

Solid, smooth throughout without any flavor profile consuming the other.

It was subtle and well layered but mouthfeel was lighter than I was expecting.

Chocolate and cinnamon aged in bourbon and tequila barrels?? Hell yes! Delicious!

This was surprisingly great. The vanilla, cocoa flavors up front with the cinnamon and spice kick at the end were a nice combo.

Subtle spices and a thin body.

So good. Definitely a Mexican chocolate cinnamon flavor blends nicely with the subtle coffee flavors.
4.5
thinner body but well balanced bourbon BA and tequila BA that adds just a touch of sweetness - cinnamon and chili peppers work well too.

Nice balance and tasty Mexican flavors, and the right amount of spicy heat. My only negative is that the texture is rather thin. Very well done otherwise.

Maybe it’s just my limited taste but I am missing the many flavors

I can only assume the flavors I can’t put my finger on is the tequila. Quite a bit of spice at the end, but really good. It tastes like someone who made this beer loves to make beer. Really good!

Slightly thinner body, but all the flavor. Very drinkable for 11%. Well done

This mouth bomb scores on all levels! The only reason it didn't get a full 5 stars is it could be a tad thicker. Other than that its freaking delicious and I luv the spicy aftertaste. Like pumpkin pie w Tabasco chocolate sauce!

A minor tequila sweetness while drinking, but finishes really nicely with a cinnamon kick.

Cant tell if I got an off bottle or if I was just thrown off of the long stringy worm looking thing that poured out with my beer that I’m going to assume was yeast... Tried to enjoy it after that but it honestly tasted flat with no character. Okay at best

Nice spices! Not bad mouthfeel on this one, not very thick but still a good body.

Nearly perfect for me. Definite tequila on the nose. Chocolate not too strong. It mixed well with the cinnamon. In terms of heat, very subtle. Wished for maybe a tad more heat?

Too thin and over carbonated. Flavors not fully developed.
