A Note on This Beer
In Mexico, during big celebrations like Day of the Dead, you’ll see little kids being dwarfed by Big Gulp-sized horchatas they’re touting around with sugar-coated glee. This sweet and spicy milk drink is served throughout the country from every bodega to barbacoa taco stand. And to describe it in just four words: liquid cinnamon toast crunch.
From their homebase of Poncha Springs, Colorado’s Elevation goes a step further into indulgence with their Senorita Horchata Imperial Porter. Spiked with an 8.5% ABV, Madagascar vanilla beans, and the roasty cocoa notes of dark malts, this beer is like drinking a chocolate-dipped boozy churro.
Elevation lives by their mission of “Go Higher,” elevating classic beer styles with exciting ingredients and upping the booze, like in Senorita. Sweet, smooth, roasty, and spicy, this Porter is a way too drinkable dessert beer with a boozy big kid kick.
It’s a good thing you’re a big kid now and this doesn’t come in Big Gulp-sized proportions.
