In 1967, a manager of a certain popular fast food chain invented the “Shamrock Shake,” with lemon-lime green sherbet, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. It was a huge hit, but in 1973, the corporate suits watered it down to a plain old vanilla shake with green food coloring.
