About This Beer
To craft today’s Sky Pie, the brewers at Pondaseta conditioned their roasty, dark English Porter base on heaps of vanilla beans and pecans.
Tasting Notes
It’s just like an ooey-gooey slice of that killer pie your favorite aunt makes for the holidays, topped with a dollop of whipped cream. Subtle hints of nutty espresso powder and pastry crust swirl underneath the brown sugar nuances before culminating in a velvety finish.

Nice pecan note, but I was missing the vanilla.

I really get PECAN. Nice! It’s sweet. And, I’m afraid, a bit too watery on the palate.

Hints of pecan and cocoa in the aroma, tastes of pecan and slight hints of chocolate and vanilla. Finishes dry as you would expect a dry English Porter. If it were a bit sweeter it would taste more like a Pecan Pie.

Delicious beer with strong aromas and taste of pecan. Not too sweet or overpowering or rich. Love this beer!

Watered down and inoffensive pecan flavor. Slight barrel taste.

Cigaretty...tastes like a better (?) version of Athletic Brewing’s All Out Stout (non-alcoholic)

The Pecan flavor comes through nicely with a slight woody note but I wish it had a fuller body and came through with a less watery texture.
