Whoa — B52 Brewing just went and crafted a mangonada in a can!

Unfamiliar? In Mexican cuisine, a “Mangonada” is a sweet and savory type of slushy drink prepared with mango and grapefruit, along with various spices. It’s super tasty, especially as a warm weather treat.

Though normally, you have to add your own booze to make it any kind of buzzing. Thankfully, B52 has that covered in today’s 6.2% ABV Smoothie Tart: Grapefruit Mango Tajin!

This Fruited Berliner Weisse is extra succulent as it is. The brewers started with a fluffy base of barley, oats, and wheat, before conditioning it on grapefruit and mango purées. Then, they finished it off with a bit of lime, red pepper, and sea salt to seal in those authentic, lip-smacking flavors!

Gotta remember that I don't like sea salt in my beer. Although this was still pretty good. Can't taste much of the Tajin but it warms you up from the inside out.

Perfect aromas of Tajin powder, mango and sour grapefruit. The mango gives this beer a nice texture, but could be a bit more prevalent, overall. The flavors are also on point and this is an extremely enjoyable beer, but only if you are looking for these classic sweet, sour and spicy flavors in your beer. This beer actually has a very good spicy punch to it, and I really appreciate that.
