About This Beer
Kyle Harrop — brewery founder and all around beer wizard — aged this glorious sip in a truly remarkable combination of barrels: Pappy Van Winkle 20 year bourbon and William Larue Weller bourbon. Then he finished the beer in Blanton bourbon barrels along with a careful addition of vanilla beans from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Tasting Notes
Every drop overflows with flavors of rich chocolate and silky vanilla. Aromas of top shelf bourbon billow from the pour, bolstered by nuances of roasty mocha and just a touch of oak. And it all leads to a finish that feels impossibly smooth for 14.8% ABV.
