About This Beer
The brewers at Ferndale Project went all in on Lotus Hops in this brand-new addition to the Solo series. The experimental arm of Detroit’s Eastern Market Brewing has been helping hop heads hone in on the unique qualities of individual varietals since the series launch in 2020.
And craft fans dig it — every one of Ferndale’s Solo IPAs rates higher than a 4.16 on UT!
The crew put Lotus in the whirlpool, then bumped it up by double dry-hop the whole thing, resulting in massive notes of luscious fruit and an 8.3% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Solo Lotus blooms with herbal aromatics, followed by intensely bright pineapple in the sip. Creamy orange-mango sweetness and pithy grapefruit ripple zestily throughout. Candied fruit plays off bitter resin for a hazy sipper worth contemplating.
