Indiana’s Taxman Brewing is turning 5! And I’m feeling especially jubilant because, to mark the occasion, they’re releasing today’s small-batch Sour Broker: Raspberry!

That’s a pretty cool 5th birthday if you ask me. When I turned 5, the theme was ‘Elephants’ and no one gave me a single beer!

Of course, I didn’t put much time into planning that event. Much unlike the multiple GABF and World Beer Cup award winners at Taxman, who started working on this fruit-filled, oak-aged Lambic-style brew over 3 years ago!

That’s an awful lot of foresight for a 5-year-old. I have trouble planning that far ahead as an adult!

If you want to score a bottle of this tart-n-fruity treat for your next celebration, there are only two ways to get it:

1. Fly to Indiana and visit the taproom. Although you won’t get there until after the breweries Taxmanniversary Festival, where the brewery’s biggest fans snapped up all the bottles they could. So really, it’s virtually guaranteed to sell out before your flight even lands.
2. Slap that order button and get a few bottles dropped off at your place!

Those really are the only options, because outside of the brewery, Sour Broker is exclusive to Tavour! And since we’re guessing the brewery is already sold out, as far as your buddies know, this brew is exclusive to YOU.

But once they get a taste, they’ll insist that you share — whether it’s their Birthday or not.

Open the bottle, and tart, earthy, berry-blasted aromas come bubbling out. Look for nuances of oak and hints of vanilla with extremely subtle touches of funky complexity. And through all the layers of flavor, the tart, sunny flavor of fresh raspberries reigns supreme!

Pick up a bottle or two, and be the only kid on your block to score some Sour Broker this year. Happy birthday to YOU!
