About This Beer
To craft this stunner, the AleSmith crew started with their beloved Imperial Stout brewed with rich, roasty coffee. Then they aged it in premium bourbon barrels for over a year for decadent notes of woody spice.
Tasting Notes
Creamy cocoa cascades into smooth coffee on every sip for mouthwatering chocolate covered espresso bean flavor. Gorgeous nuances of bourbon caramel and creme brûlée carry underneath for sumptuous latte accents all hiding a massive 13.3% ABV.

Very barrel forward, but still smooth. A little warmer is better for this one.

Smooth tasting, coffee with that bourbon finish. Great complexity

Smooth and well balanced between the various flavor notes. I’m not usually one for chocolate in beer, it always tastes fake. But it works here. I wish there was more coffee and bourbon notes. though.

I don't know. Maybe I didn't read the write up and wasn't expecting a coffee stout. It almost tastes like a spiced stout. Similar to chili or habanero. I want to like this but I don't.
