About This Beer
The Black Raven crew matured the brew for 6 months in American single malt barrels, infusing it with complex whiskey-oak nuances.
Tasting Notes
Notes of malt-driven caramel and raisin swirl through the sip, accentuated by a subtle kiss of woodsmoke. Delicate Scotch whiskey tones round out the backend, leading to an impressively smooth finish.

one of the best scotch ales I’ve ever had. Incredibly balanced as if it had been cellared for years.

Very well balanced scotch ale with a nice matured whiskey barrel aged flavor. Well crafted. I'd say it's in the top 2ish scotch ales I've had

Dark roasty goodness.

Light dried fruit notes and caramel. Malts are overly subtle for the brew.

On the sweet side big time. Not really getting any barrel. Alcohol not noticeable. I guess I’m just not a fan of the style.

Solid little wee heavy. Beautiful color, good flavor, simple profile. I don’t know if I’d grab this one again but it was still a solid sipper.
