Over the course of six months in a collection of different bourbon barrels, each with its own distinct imprint-- Black Raven combines the contents of the barrels, enabling the spicy, fruity, dessert-like range of single-barrel flavors to meld together for a month. The result is the boozy, woody complexity you’ll find in every bottle of Splinters.

The nuanced flavors of Special B and Chocolate Malts sneak out from behind a cellar-full of spicy liquor-soaked wood. Together they contribute a drizzle of milky chocolate infused with ripe raisins and bananas-- to the bourbon’s buttery toffee, sweet-tooth satisfaction. But Splinters’ 10.8% ABV warmth and dryness leaves an ultra-light footprint on the finish.
