A Note on This Beer

*Heads up! We have fewer than 10 cases left!*

Getting your hands on a rare brew from Dwinell Country Ales is always a treat:

  • They were named one of Craft Beer & Brewing’s Top 3 Small Breweries in the Country just a year after opening!
  • The world class, Barrel-Aged Saison specialists only deal in micro batches.
  • Bottles tend not to stray too far from the brewery’s home, deep in Washington’s wine country — where this luscious, oaky blend is already sold out!

To craft Split Second, the Dwinell crew started with a blend of crisp Golden Ale and a hoppier, rustic Ale, each fermented with native yeast. After barrel aging the blend in oak, the brewers dry-hopped it with Cashmere Hops just before bottling, giving it soft, herbaceous bouquets and bright lemon accents.

Vibrant notes of tangy, peach-swirled lemonade cascade through every sip. It’s all wrapped in luxuriously rich oak notes with subtle funk complexity.

If you’d like to join the exclusive group of Dwinell Saison sippers or impress your friends with a rare, new bottle in your collection, now’s your chance. But heads up, these are the very last 10 cases!

Tart without being too acidic, hint of citrus, lemongrass, and sawdust. Effervescent, light, and refreshing with enough body for a finish.

Dry and peppery, subtle and lightly tart, hints of coriander, black pepper and lemon. Dry, light finish that lingers funky.

Insane citrus. More refreshing than anything else, but still a bit too sour for me overall.

I agree with the other reviewers and liked that light, tangy nature of this, but I did not like the finish - was almost metallic with the sourness.
