About This Beer
The brewers blended Stouts aged for 20-29 months in a variety of freshly emptied Old Fitzgerald 14-year bourbon, Elijah Craig 19-year bourbon, Sazerac 14-year rye, Blanton's 8-year bourbon, Eagle Rare 10-year bourbon, and Henry McKenna 11-year bourbon barrels.
Then, to really crank up the flavors, they conditioned the beer on more than 3 lbs per gallon of fresh and toasted coconut and finished it on toasted hazelnuts!
Tasting Notes
Big chocolate and coconut aromas erupt from the pour, alongside plenty of top shelf bourbon. On the sip, fudge is on the forefront, balanced by a touch of tropical fruitiness. Oak comes through on the finish, with a touch of nutella-like hazelnut lingering on the palate at the end.

Very rich and decadent with the coconut flavors and very sticky consistency. Similar to barrel aged mappe syrup. Lots of adjunct floating on the pour. Overall, it was very tasty, but felt like a topping that would go on waffles than a beer to drink.

One of the most memorable beers I’ve had. Huge mouthfeel, viscous, boozy, full of balanced adjunct. Was the hit of our bottle share night and so good I ordered another.

cloyingly sweet mix of chocolate and bad soy sauce. nothing redeeming to be found. they talk about great barrels, but I can’t taste any barrels through the syrupy sweetness.

Was about apprehensive about this due to a few unpleasant sludge bombs from WW, but this was excellent. Visocus, but not too thick, rich chocolate, coconut and great barrel expression

I’ve been mostly disappointed with these starry Noche variants. I couldn’t get in more than a few sips of this before giving up. way too sweet and unbalanced

Bourbon, fudge, coconut and maple syrup, develops into honeyed fig. Finish is sugar sweet coconut. I know it’s a pastry stout but the sweetness drowns out the complexity unfortunately.
