A Note on This Beer
‘Stop The Car’ [Pre order] - 6.5% ABV - 375 ml bottle - Barrel Aged Saison - Packaging ETA November 24
Welcome to ‘Pre Orders!’ This is where you can snag super rare beers from your favorite breweries before we’ve managed to get our hands on them — often before they’re even bottled!
A few things to know:
- Check out the "Pre Orders" tab on the "My Crate" page — that’s where you can secure your stash of upcoming releases.
- If you don’t have an open crate, a new one will open as soon as your pre ordered beer lands. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know when it happens!
- Most of these beers will sell out in pre order and won’t be available for regular purchase. Miss them now, and you might never see them again.
The world-renowned brewers at Anchorage put out some of the most coveted brews on the app, and this latest release is no exception. You’re gonna want to pull over and Stop The Car for this one folks, because this barrel-aged Saison is way more exciting than any roadside attraction!
The Beer:
It all starts with two of the Alaskan craft masters’ proprietary strains of Brettanomyces and two Saison yeasts, which imbue the brew with sophisticated notes of barnyard funk. Then they let it ferment and age in Missouri oak barrels so it could soak up all the delicate woodspice nuances.
Look forward to gentle hints of hay and subtle twinges of stone fruit rippling throughout every bright sip. We expect the oaky undertones imparted from the barrel to accentuate the elegant hints of spice and rich herbaceousness in this naturally carbonated sipper.
A refined brew like this works great poured into a glass and enjoyed with a fancy dinner, but it is equally delicious quaffed straight from the bottle while you watch the game with your family. And since it’s coming from the legends at Anchorage, you know it’s gonna be a winner!
The Brewery:
Hands down, Anchorage Brewing is one of the most sought-after breweries when it comes to boozy Dark Beers. Outside of Alaska, their brews are notoriously hard to find and fans clamor to get their hands on bottles of the most coveted sippers, like Deal with the Devil, Time Waits for No One, and Endless Ending. Anchorage’s impressive list of collabs — with top craft breweries like Tired Hands, Mikkeller, Hill Farmstead, and Monkish — is enough to make any in-the-know craft lover go weak in the knees.
