About This Beer

As a #BarleywineIsLife believer, you’d have to physically restrain me to keep me from getting my hands on 2021’s version of Straight Jacket! These annual releases from the lauded Revolution crew are some of the highest-rated English Barleywines in the world, and honestly, this may be the best vintage yet.

To make it, the team let the base brew slumber in bourbon barrels for twelve whole months until it took on oaky complexities and whiskey nuances.

Tasting Notes

The sip exudes notes of dark fruit, rich caramel, and sticky molasses, ushering your tastebuds to a satisfying full-body finish that masks a boozy 15% ABV.

this is really top tier BA barleywine. All the usual suspect bw notes (toffee, raisin, etc) but Revolution does an excellent job of incorporating barrel presence

Revolution is king. Best Brewery ever? Quite Possibly. Best barrel aged beers ever? YES. This Deep Woods series is unmatched by anything ive ever tasted, every beer in it is perfect on every level. If I had to name one reason I even still have this app, it would be this brewery. Anything I see from Revolution I immediately buy all I can afford or am permitted by the app. Do yourself a favor and do the same. This barleywine is perfect on every single level. Love love love, cannot rate high enough.
