@Dan T. took half his can of this Fruited Barleywine, mixed it with maple syrup, and poured it on his pancakes. Literally. 

That’s the kind of behavior that might draw some stares. But with today’s dry, 14.2% ABV English-style Barleywine? We get it. No judgment here. We’ll take this brew any way we can get it, as long as we have a chance to taste all its creamy, vanilla-strawberry complexity.

Aged for 18 months in Bourbon and Rye Whiskey Barrels and brewed with real strawberries, Strawberry Jacket is a beer that has even the most level-headed Barleywine fans in a frenzy!

It’s left craft fans crazed like kids in a candy shop, comparing the brew to a Fruit Roll-Up (@Zenas), a Jolly Rancher (@Karl R.), and those strawberry candies you can mysteriously only find at grandma’s house (@Mark S.). 

It makes sense, considering it comes from the crafty minds at Revolution Brewing. The decorated Chicago brewery has landed on “Best Of” lists from the Brewers Association, Chicago Magazine, and Chicago Reader for years! 

We wouldn’t actually recommend mixing this brew with syrup — or anything else, for that matter. We have precious little of this limited release to go around, and once you taste it, you won’t want to spare a drop!
