A Note on This Beer
Some of my best childhood memories were made at Dairy Queen. As kids, my siblings and I would compete to see who could order the tastiest, most epic dessert!
I chose DQ's melt-in-your-mouth ice cream sundaes, every time. What could be more tempting than velvety vanilla ice cream topped with hot fudge, rainbow sprinkles, and whipped cream?
Today, my favorite dessert has met its match, because I’ve discovered something even MORE epic: Sundae Service Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout from Prairie Artisan Ales!
The brewers crafted this whiskey-soaked treat with real fudge, chocolate, crunchy peanuts, vanilla, sprinkles, AND cherries! It pours almost as thick as Hershey’s syrup, and wraps the tongue in comforting flavors of vanilla soft serve drenched in dark chocolate. Waves of caramel-y bourbon swim throughout, and a whisper of cherry rises on the finish, like a juicy maraschino on top!
Prairie Artisan Ales is known for their sinfully delicious Pastry Stouts, and Sundae Service is a crave-worthy example. My only question for you is, did you bring a spoon?
This barrel aged Stout is brand new to the taproom, so you can be one of the first to get a scoop!
