A Note on This Beer
DON’T DRINK THIS RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT WHILE RIDING IN A TANK. Just because the head brewer of Seattle’s small-batch Rooftop Brewing got crunk and rode around in a tank doesn’t mean you should. Instead enjoy the dangerously velvety smooth Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tank Ride Russian Imperial Stout in the safety of your home.
Aged for six months in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels, Rooftop’s robust 8.5% ABV Tank Ride will induce dynamically dark and boozy pandemonium upon your palate.
Tank Ride takes you through a whole agility-course of complex flavor notes, delivered with the intensity of sky-diving into darkness. Wafts of smoky oak and a complex maple-vanilla richness from bourbon aging greets you head-on. Roasted barley and chocolate malts add accents of smooth dark cocoa. With a warming booziness, this smooth operating RIS marches across the palate with a creamy mouthfeel as you revel in the taste of spiked mocha espresso beans and chocolate-covered cherry cordials.
We’ve removed all the risks of danger from this Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tank Ride except for one… finding this brew outside of their taproom is borderline impossible, so there’s a good chance you’re going to love it, drink all of your stash, and then crave it hysterically until it’s released next year. Like a decadent mousse made with top shelf Heaven Hill Bourbon, Tank Ride has a balanced richness that begs to be savored.
