A Note on This Beer

At this point, I barely remember what real pants even feel like. Like many of you, I’ve been living in pajamas for months!

So, it’s only appropriate that I sip on a few cans of today’s Tequila Adios Pantalones from the multi-time GABF Gold Medalists at Rahr & Sons. Because this Tequila Barrel-Aged, lemon and lime-infused Lager gives me exactly what I need right now.

Every tequila-sweetened sip insists that I sit back, relax, and watch just a little more Netflix. Its tangy citrus kick and nuances of oaky vanilla continually remind me that, as long as I’m stuck at home, getting dressed up means boxers and sweat socks.

The bright, crisp, 6.5% ABV Lager body reassures me that drinking beer in the shower is perfectly acceptable, and that chips and salsa are the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.

In short, it supports my social-distancing lifestyle at every turn.

As I opened it sure does smell like BudLight but the flavor was similar to it. I was expected to be more lemony and strong taste of tequila but it didn’t seem like it.

Tastes kind of like tequila-spiked Sprite. I really enjoyed it! It paired well with homemade enchiladas.

I’d be happy if somebody offered me more of these. There’s enough of a barrel/tequila flavor in there that makes this different and, for me, tasty. I can’t fathom the comparisons to bud light lime... are they shotgunning it and not bothering to taste? Outdoor, summertime, this is really pleasant, add in some tacos, even better.

Ok, but wouldn’t buy it again. Little too light, taste the lime but the tequila taste is there but have to search for it. Aftertaste lingers and is nice.

All respectable Latin food restaurants should have this on the menu. It’s great. There’s definitely line in there, has that slight lime bitter that works nicely in the beer Tequila definitely but not too boozy

Now this is what a tequila beer should taste like…tequila and beer! I bought another similar type of beer from Tavour recently and it was very disappointing, but this one was great. Well balanced and not too heavy on the citrus. I got all the flavor notes of the tequila but was still aware that I was drinking a beer

Holy Tequila and lime! As soon as you crack this one open you can smell it. It smells like you just bit into a salted like and took a tequila shot. It’s not too far off from the same flavor a corona extra with lime will give you. A solid beer for a sunny day for anyone who loves tequila.

People keep comparing this to drinks that have a sweet component. This has no sweetness at all. Which, of course, is a good thing. Taste tequila and lime. Delicious!

I like the idea of this beer more than I like the taste. The lemon & lime got over powered by the beer (lager? Couldn’t really tell because of the imbalance of flavor). I could see the vision, but I don’t think it was executed very well.
