A Note on This Beer
The Chicagoland brewmasters at Mikerphone are some of the country’s top hop handlers. They’ve earned praise from all corners of the craftsphere, from publications like Thrillist, Hop Culture, and Craft Beer & Brewing, to 4+ scores from fans on Untappd.
Interestingly, it’s in Mikerphone’s simpler-seeming brews that their dialed-in hoppy expertise really shines. The 100% Mosaic Hops in That One Guitar may appear straightforward, but one sip makes it clear — this Imperial IPA is a work of art!
Ripe blueberry and blackberry greet the nose with a whisper of florals, opening up the senses for each fruit-swirled sip. Flavors of apricot, pineapple, and mango wash across the palate like fruit punch, leading to a delectably pithy grapefruit finish.
With a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and very low bitterness, it goes down too easily for 8% ABV!
It takes true skill to coax out this much deliciousness. Ready to explore some real Mosaic mastery?
