A Note on This Beer
Just like my older brother used to rough me up (all in good fun, of course), today’s The Brother Imperial IPA knocked me out flat with a single taste — it harnesses the power of potent Amarillo Hop extract to achieve 1 billion IBU intensity!
Okay, we know it doesn’t REALLY have 1 billion IBUs, but The Brother’s flavorful punch is only for the bravest of hopheads out there!
A brew that packs this much badassery could only come from Seattle’s craft masters at Fremont Brewing. They are a name to be reckoned with in the Northwest beer scene — Thrillist even named them the Best Brewery in Washington!
And today’s Washington Beer Award-winning hop bully from their boozy Imperial series will teach you how to hop up or shut up! Every sip has a clean, sharp bite from Fremont’s unique medley of Northwest Hops: Amarillo extract, Chinook, Centennial, and Citra.
But this 8.5% ABV hopbomb is only available for four months out of the year. And with a massive 4.14 rating on BA, its annual release sends Seattle craft fans flocking to the taproom and bottle shops to get a taste!
Lucky for you, today I’m your big brother, protecting you from the crazed hopheads and hooking you up with a limited-release beer from one of the Northwest’s hottest breweries!
Pop open the can, and let aromas of mandarin oranges and resinous pine swing at the nose from the honey red pour. Flowery grapefruit blends with a caramel malt base to tease the palate before knocking it out with resinous, piney bitterness. A hint of pepper spice appears on the finish, giving your mouth a beating it won’t forget any time soon.
Be sure to snag an extra can or two of this hopbomb to share with somebody close to you, and reminisce about all the days you two spent bickering — it’ll probably be the only taste they can get.
Cheers, brother!
