A Note on This Beer
There is a deeply satisfying moment when you unleash the liquid core of a chocolate lava molten cake. It’s just a cascading waterfall of dark, delicious joy pooling at the base of a rich, decadent treat.
My mouth is watering just picturing the glorious experience.
The GABF award-winning brewers at Olympia’s Three Magnets know exactly what I’m talking about. But they take this sweet-tooth fantasy even further by adding the one thing missing: Booze!
Hold on to your chocolate-loving pants because today’s 12.3% ABV The Cocoa Belgian Chocolate Quad satisfies the deepest desires of Dark Beer fans.
Keep your Golden Ticket, Willy Wonka. With only 130 cases in existence, real euphoria is snatching one of today’s limited-release cans of oozing, chocolate glory!
Listed as one of Washington’s best breweries by Draft Mag and Thrillist, Three Mags utilizes the brewers’ favorite malt called Kiln Coffee to mimic the smooth characteristics of bourbon barrel aging. Every sip flows with the warm decadence of rich chocolate, exotic vanilla, and a slight char. In scientific terms, the crew adds “a heck of a lot” of cocoa nibs late in the fermentation for ultimate chocolate-soaked goodness, sneaking in the rosy-cheek inducing 12.3% ABV.
I didn’t believe in a more satisfying experience than warm chocolate molten cake, until I cracked open The Cocoa! This boozy new release has me gushing.
I tried to exercise self-control by not keeping all the cans to myself but you better snag ‘em while you can. I have a feeling that once the rest of the craft scene catches on to this liquid treasure, it’ll be a chocolate-fueled frenzy!
