A Note on This Beer
There’s a reason they call it Devil’s Food Cake -- it’s so lusciously chocolatey, so dark and mesmerizing, that you’d be willing to sell your souljust for a bite.Wisconsin’s Tyranena Brewing harnesses this seductive power to create one of the Top 100 Porters in the World on BeerAdvocate: The Devil Made Me Do It! Imperial Oatmeal Porter.
Whether or not Tyranena contracted Satan himself for this coffee-soaked chocolate cake of a brew is up for debate, but damn it sure tastes like it. Real additions of coffee beans nestle amongst silky layers of smooth oatmeal-tethered cocoa roasts into pure, liquid breakfast -- this has to be the Devil’s work.
Wake up and smell the French Roast dark brew aromas that greet your face as you take a whiff. Hints of cola, almonds, and rich cacao nibs strike your next fancy, enticing you to sip -- and wow, is that silky. Pure, unadulterated mocha slides across the tongue with roasty snippets of espresso that’s so easy to drink, it’s downright evil.
Forget buying Devil’s Food cake -- get Tyranena’s take that blazes over the original with a smooth kick of booze. After you drink one, you’ll soon be on your second, and then you’re third -- cause the Devil made you do it.
