First, Evil Twin blended two of their barrel aged Stouts — the first aged 58 months in a blue corn whiskey barrel from Balcones, and another that slumbered in Blis maple syrup casks for 57 months.

Then the crew at Side Project combined two of their own oak-aged Stouts — one that slumbered in Willett 4 year rye barrels for 21 months, and a second that spent 18 months in Buffalo Trace Mashbill #2 barrels.

Finally, they put it all together and conditioned the blend on macadamia nuts and Mexican vanilla beans to create The Great Northern Barrel Aged #55.
