A Note on This Beer
The breakfast of my dreams: waffles drenched in artisan syrup chased with a roasty cup of gourmet coffee. Three Magnets Brewing must have straight up READ MY MIND because their brand new The Magnet Imperial Brunch Stout is my breakfast dream in boozy dark beer form.
Founders’ CBS may have started the maple syrup-infused Stout craze, but Three Magnets takes it to the next level: The Magnet is infused with an in house custom-made syrup by the brewery’s in housebreakfast spot, AND is crafted with the same locally roasted coffee they serve there.
One taste of The Magnet will instantly show that these brewers are full-on breakfast geeks. Aromas of fresh drip dark roast punctuate the senses like a crowded morning diner. The syrup really shines on the tongue, where you’ll experience its custom blend of vanilla, brown sugar, and molasses accentuating notes of the delectable mile-high flapjacks. Sweet as the ingredients sound, this beer balances them with a boozy, 8.2% ABV edge for a smooth, dry finish.
Inspired by ingredients used in the brewery’s new on-site restaurant, this dark brew commemorates Three Magnet’s love (obsession?) for the first meal of the day. I’ll definitely be checking it out next time I’m at their taproom, but until then, The Magnet will fulfill my breakfast needs any time of day.
Serve in place of mimosas, beermosas, Bloody Mary’s, or tap water at your next brunch.
