About This Beer
The crew at Grimm captured the essence of Long Island’s North Fork wine country with this brew. They started with whole clusters of Cab Franc grapes from Michelangelo Vineyards in the tiny hamlet of Cutchogue. After allowing the fruit to begin a spontaneous fermentation, they added them to a blend of 1-2 year old Wild Ales, and let them coferment to blend the flavors naturally.
Tasting Notes
Wild Ale aficionados and fans of natural wine will be equally stunned by this stunningly complex brew. Every sip brings a rich kaleidoscope of flavors! It begins tangy and tart, with gentle hints of leather and mild grassy funk. Vinous notes of red fruit appear on the palate, with nuances of plum, berry, and of course grape. All the flavors of a sunny day in the vineyards!
