About This Beer
To make The Peach, the brewers start with a spontaneously fermented Golden Wild Ale conditioned on oak for more than two years. Then, they hand-process whole, locally grown peaches, leaving about half the pits for woody, herbaceous depth. When the fruit meets the mature beer, the wild yeasts kick off a secondary fermentation.
Tasting Notes
Pour it into a tulip glass, and you can smell Oregon’s verdant countryside, with notes of waving grass and sun-dappled orchards. Take a sip, and lose yourself in a flood of ripe stonefruit flavors, with a tangy pop of acidity and wild, slightly funky complexity.
Like everything de Garde makes, The Peach captures the essence of a time and place — in this case, a warm afternoon among fruit laden trees. If you want to visit that peaceful, sunny place, all you have to do is open a bottle.
