A Note on This Beer
We're serious hopheads, and when our hop-levels drop dangerously low, we crack open a can of Therapist Imperial IPA from Dust Bowl Brewing. This 100 IBU brew drinks like a resinous slap in the face from a harvest-ready hop bine. It’s guaranteed to sustain any dank-dependent craft fiend in need of a bitter dose of hoppy goodness.
This is the West Coast IPA that put Dust Bowl on the map for their 4 plus rated, unapologetic tributes to bold hopped-up flavors. And today, this beer is leaving California and coming to you!
From its 10.4% ABV to its 5 separate additions of Mosaic, Apollo, Simcoe, and Columbus Hops, everything about Therapist is gigantic. Dust Bowl didn’t tell us exactly how much of each variety they’re using, but our personal research — by which we mean guzzling it down — suggests that it’s approximately a f@ck ton of hops. More than enough to revitalize a hop-deficient beer lover.
The GABF award-winning brewers at Dust Bowl channelled their hoppy talents to create a powerful wave of orange peel and dank grassiness that surges across the palate. Resinous pine and pithy grapefruit harmonize beautifully, while the massive ABV hides beneath a smooth, silky mouthfeel.
For hopheads, there’s no better introduction to Dust Bowl’s skills than with a taste of this massive hopbomb. And for those of us who simply can’t survive without regular gulps of dank and piney hop flavors, Therapist Imperial IPA is a literal lifesaver.
