A Note on This Beer
When my sister suggested I explore therapy, I was hesitant at first. But now, I feel a little wiser after each session, because I’ve peeled back another layer of myself.
That sense of discovery reminds me of drinking Therapy Sessions (Ghost 984) from Adroit Theory. Each time I take a sip, I discover another layer of flavor in this intriguingly complex brew.
This pleasantly smooth Russian Imperial Stout takes ‘decadence’ to the next level. As I open the can, a beguiling bouquet of rich dark chocolate, vanilla, and toasted caramel treats my senses. The pitch black pour is thick and velvety, enveloping my tongue in notes of roasted coffee, juicy figs, and vanilla-dusted chocolate truffles.
And, while it could be the 12% ABV, I’m somehow inspired to share all of my deepest secrets with this sipper.
It’s rare to see Adroit’s craft masterpieces outside of Virginia — in fact, they’re known for beers selling out in presales before they’ve even finished brewing! Which means, I’m especially lucky to have this limited release as my couch companion.
