A Note on This Beer

Ever wondered what it’d be like to try a creamsicle Milkshake IPA made with 500 lbs of juicy oranges per batch? Until today, I hadn’t either.

That changed as soon as I heard about These Buildings I Once Designed.

The flavors of this Imperial Milkshake IPA are like a vanilla-swirled torrent of orange across the palate, accented by a hint of earthy zest, thanks to El Dorado and Citra Hops, and a velvety ribbon of milk sugar.

Each sip takes me back to when the only orange thing on my mind wasn’t pumpkins, but orange creamsicles melting in my hands. Fortunately, in this case, there won’t be any sticky hands to wash or orange tongue to make everyone else envious of your treat — just an empty can.

So, here’s to denying the reality of fall for just a little bit longer, or at least for an hour or two. Better grab this creamsicle of an IPA before it melts!

Thrillist named Proclamation Ale Co. the best brewery in Rhode Island!

The sweetness is surprising from the get go. Balanced quite beautifully to mask a nice ABV.

3.5/5 look: 4.25 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.5 Poured from a 16 ounce can into a snifter. Look- Between pale and medium gold, hazy, sudsy white head, below average head retention, average lacing. Smell- Orange sherbet, earthy. Taste- Orange creamsicle, tart, slightly boozy finish. Feel- Full body, low bitterness, creamy, tart lingering finish, slightly below average carbonation. Overall- Orange and lactose additions leave the beer one dimensional and unbalanced.

Touch of creamsicle but more melted orange sherbert. Definitely fruity and not real hoppy or bitter. Easy drinking for 8.5%.

Very creamy and orange forward. Little to no bitterness so drinks down smooth for the ABV.

Not a big fan of this one. Funky orange notes really throw it off for me.

I was never a fan of ipa’s in the least but the second I cracked open this can and filled my glass I knew it was going to be a treat. The 8.5% ABV gives it that kick that an IPA is known for but the creaminess and robust orange flavor with hints of citrus make it enjoyable every sip
