A Note on This Beer
Today’s brand-new NEIPA marks the first time Liquid Love Brewing has ever appeared on Tavour!
The brew is quenching and ridiculously juicy, but the brewers didn’t just craft it to dazzle your taste buds. They brewed Things We Don’t Say IPA as part of a global movement for Mental Health Awareness Month, to send a powerful message:
It’s okay to not be okay. Let’s fight the stigma surrounding mental illness.
Illinois’ Liquid Love joined in the cause shortly after Wisconsin’s Eagle Park Brewing started the initiative. Now more than 190 breweries in 8 countries are using special labeling (complete with a list of mental health resources) and putting their own twist on the original IPA recipe to help spread awareness in their own regions.
And, man, the IPA pros at Liquid Love sure put a lot of love into their double dry-hopped rendition!
Delightful aromas of fresh-cut melon and peach spill out upfront, paving the way for notes of stone fruit, OJ, and mango on the tongue. Resinous pine whispers swirl in on the finish. Every complex, flavorful sip is truly worthy of sparking conversation.
Today, you have an opportunity to help an important cause AND taste a special, limited-release beer. How neat is that?
Eagle Park teamed up with Malteurop Malting Co., Hollingbery & Son Hops, and international awareness group Hope For The Day to spearhead their Things We Don’t Say initiative. A portion of the proceeds from each rendition is going to Hope For The Day’s suicide prevention and mental health education programming!
