A Note on This Beer
You’re probably familiar with the phrase, “Thirsty Thursday.”
And if you’re like me, you probably partook in a Thirsty Thursday or two back in the day. Only then, you were likely crushing cans of PBR and not sippin’ on boozy, 4.21 UT-rated brews like today’s Thursday 2019 Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout.
Brewed with 26 lbs of ripe, juicy blueberries in each batch and aged for over 12 months in top-shelf Bourbon Barrels, every sip is like a liquified chocolate cake topped with a bourbon-berry compote. And after you get a sip of its dangerously smooth 11% ABV, this jammy brew is the only thing you’ll be thirsty for this Thursday!
Today’s palate-pleasing sipper comes straight from the Dark Beer masters at Florida’s Cycle Brewing.
They focus almost exclusively on Barrel-Aged pours, and their prowess for flavor-packed brews has earned them a higher brewery rating than the Dark Beer-fiends at Founders, Westbrook, and 3Floyds!
But their beers seldom leave the Sunshine State, so there’s a chance that even your thirstiest Stout-sippin’ bud hasn’t heard of ‘em. Probably best to keep it that way, though.
‘Cause I’ll bet if you offer your buddies a taste, they’ll down every last drop like they’re back in college. They’ll sip on its layers of silky ganache, roasty espresso, and oaky vanilla as they reminisce about how there was “never a college party I couldn't get into, dude.”
And as notes of whiskey spice and woody char mingle with the delicate fruit-flavors, the big ABV will creep up, and they’ll soon be clinking glasses, slurring through your school’s fight song.
Yeah, probably best to grab an extra bottle for yourself to keep locked up tightly in your cellar. Your secret is safe with us.
