About This Beer
To make this banger, founder and sole brewer Kyle Harrop started with an exquisitely thick and roasty 14.9% ABV base, then aged it in a trifecta of truly beautiful barrels.
He started the beer in Balcones Corn Whiskey casks, transferred it to Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels, then finished things up in Templeton Rye Whiskey barrels.
Tasting Notes
The corn whiskey gives this sterling sip hints of honeyed sweetness, while the caramel and a bit of spice from the bourbon and rye elevate fudgy notes from the base beer. And with no adjuncts to compete with all that barrel character, bold and boozy nuances of top shelf spirits carry straight through to a smooth, lingering finish.
