Brewed in our own backyard, Silver City Brewing’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Time Traveller Imperial Stout showcases the very best of Washington State craft beer.

Locking away their World Beer Cup Gold-winning Imperial Stout recipe into oaked hollows for an entire year, this 9.9 % ABV giant dominates with notes of pure whisky-soaked char.

This Stout is built around a wealth of dark malt classics: Caramel, Roasted, Chocolate, and Black Malts intertwine with toasted sweetness. As the beer ages 12 months in single-use Kentucky Bourbon barrels, these malts take in every bit of whiskey character. The charred interior of the oak barrels doubles the roasty intensity, while infusing a tingling spice and a touch of vanilla.

Inhale the aroma and you’ll instantly see this beer isn’t shy. Flows of caramel and spiked chocolate hit the nose with a brush of tobacco. More chocolate snaps the tongue sprinkled with espresso and fresh wood spice. The finish peaks with a warm sting of Bourbon.

As one of the few breweries in the state with such an immersive and vaunted barrel-aging program, each of Silver City’s limited releases is regarded as a treasure. Intensely roasty and uncompromising with flavor, it’s drawn comparisons to Central Waters 17 - one of the most vaulted and rare Imperial Stouts ever made.
