Late at night, my dog gets a case of what I like to call the “zoomies.” She spins; she leaps; she starts chomping at her tail like a crazed maniac. Turns out, dark beer fans are buzzing with that same excited glee over today’s decedent Imperial Stout from Anchorage Brewing!
At first taste Tired But Wired, massive hits of freshly roasted coffee envelop the taste buds. All this roasty power comes from pouring 100s of pounds of coffee into the batch. Anchorage made sure it was the good stuff too, and turned to the roasting experts at Klatch Coffee to get their beans. Each sip is truly an eye-opening experience.
Then, they added THOUSANDS of pounds of raw coconut and aged the brew in Missouri oak foeders. The final result is deliciously sinful and rich, like a slice of German chocolate cake washed down with a nip of espresso.
The next time I’ve had a long day, I’m taking a cue from my pup (and Anchorage fans) — I’m channeling zoomie power by unbottling my stash of Tired But Wired. All that bold coffee and coconut flavor combined with a hefty 15.5% ABV might just have me running around the house and howlin’ at the moon!
