About This Beer
They crafted Tone Death by blending a Barleywine aged 46 months in bourbon barrels with another Barleywine aged 26 months in bourbon barrels. Then they rounded it out with a stainless steel fermented Brown Sugar Imperial Stout.
Next, the brewers conditioned the blend on wild Thai banana, maple, and vanilla. Finally, they went full java junkie and blended in house-made cold brew utilizing Colombian Mirado beans and rested it all on freshly roasted coffee from Cooperative Coffee and even more El Tigre Dark Roast beans.
Tasting Notes
Every swig is like finding yourself in the middle of a metropolis of decadent, dessert flavors. Café aromas lead you into an intersection of golden maple and creme brûlée. Another swig carries it all down Dark Mocha Avenue before turning down Bananas Foster Boulevard steering toward Coffee Lane. All the while, vanilla oak and whiskey caramel carry on the air.
