A Note on This Beer
The following document contains TOP SECRET information for Tavour members’ eyes only:
SUBJECT: Tavour has gained intel on a brand new line of Wild-Fermented Hard Seltzer from Denver’s Black Project Spontaneous & Wild Ales.
- Black Project is hailed as one of the Best Breweries in Colorado by everyone from The Denver Post to Food & Wine Magazine. Their small-batches are considered special finds even within the Rocky Mountain state.
- The brewers say today’s very first Seltzer release is “internally code-named PIQUETTE," honoring an old world wine technique of adding water to grape pomace. The method extracts both flavor and color from the grapes, resulting in one crushable, refreshing beverage.
FINDINGS: This Hard Seltzer boasts crisp, nuanced fruit flavors from Tempranillo and Cabernet Franc grapes. In addition to the grapes, its gluten-free ingredients are straightforward: water, yeast, and cane sugar. That’s it!
Primary wild yeast fermentation with the grape skins imparts notes of fruity, funky character not found in most other Seltzers! And with an effervescent body clocking in at only 4.95% ABV, it’s ultra quenching too.

Little to no flavor and the taste you do pick up is quite unpleasant. May have gotten a bad can.
4.0
Crisp and fresh with slight sweetness and a tart finish. The best way I can describe it is a refreshing red wine spritzer.

Reminded me of medicine. Was not a fan

Not bad. A very light drink. Like drinking wine.

Absolutely undrinkable. This is probably the worst beer I think I’ve ever had, and I’ve had Natty Ice. The wine barrels make it taste like cold cat piss and has a terrible after taste. Major let down, since I’ve had some great beers from Black Project.

Not a fan at all. This was a really gross Seltzer. I regret buying it.

This is absolutely disgusting....from the smell to the taste. I do not recommend

Very nice seltzer with light flavor.

Eh. Black Project usually brings that packed flavor but this just tasted like a super watered down glass of wine
3.0
Not bad. Tastes more like a wine cooler than a beer. Certainly refreshing.
2.5
Pretty basic, lacks flavor

For a seltzer this has depth of flavor. Would drink this over any other flavored seltzer any day.
