A Note on This Beer
When we have a chance to score a really incredible, super limited-edition brew, we’re not above begging.
Take today’s Touch of Brett: Galaxy Farmhouse Saison from Oregon’s Alesong. People all over the northwest are scrambling for this bottle, and with good reason. It’s the 4th brew in the Touch of Brett series, and all three previous versions have won GABF medals! After tasting this one, we’re predicting it’ll win, too.
So when we heard that the boys down in Eugene were releasing a new version that’s packed with tropically fruity Galaxy hops, we just knew we had to get our hands on it!
We called the brewery over and over, baked them cookies, offered to give all the brewers back massages — anything we could think of to convince them to send us a few cases!
They didn’t make us drop to our knees and literally beg, but we totally would have.
If you want to grab yourself a taste, don’t wait too long. Alesong’s supply of Touch of Brett: Galaxy won’t last, and after our little stash dries up, there won’t be anymore anywhere. No matter how much you’re willing to beg.
Pop the top on this 7.2% ABV Saison and bright aromas of pineapple and peach come shining out to greet you. An undercurrent of Bretty funk balances the fruity hops, while subtle woody notes from aging in French Oak barrels adds an earthy complexity. The finish is dry, crisp, and refreshing.
This bright and sunny brew is just the thing for a backyard BBQ, a lazy afternoon on the water, or even an elegant dinner. And once your friends get a taste, they’ll be the ones begging you for more. How generous you’re feeling is up to you.
This beer is too new for ratings!
