That’s how ‘Trader Vic’ Bergeron responded to claims that he didn’t actually invent the Mai Tai cocktail, a drink so popular that it actually depleted global rum supplies in the early 1950s. Or so goes the legend.

Fortunately, there’s no debate when it comes to who crafted this Mai Tai-inspired Tribal Jam: Mai Mai Mai! It’s the latest in a string of beloved tropical Smoothie Sours from Heathen Brewing!

This crafty Washington crew may have taken inspiration from Trader Vic’s recipe, but the final product is all Heathen!

Tasting Notes

Gigantically fruity flavors from real cara cara orange, sweet cherry, and tangy lime permeate every drop, flooding the taste buds with lush tropicality. Almond adds nutty complexity, while rich vanilla makes for an almost creamy feel. On the finish, a pinch of sea salt brings complex minerality, like a refreshing sea breeze.
