Over 100 breweries dot New Jersey’s exploding craft scene, but there’s one that everyone keeps talking about. Run by Eric Ruta — a Jersey native who discovered his love of brewing while at college in Maine — Magnify Brewing has built up a trek-worthy reputation for East Coast craft fans!

But, good luck finding their hyped brews in many places outside the brewery — much less beyond state lines. Heck, even locals have to move fast to get coveted sips; today’s Triple Cold Side IPA sold out at the taproom in just four days!

Thankfully, we snagged a stash just in time for Magnify to make their Tavour debut. It’s a 10% ABV boozebomb, triple dry-hopped with Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe Cryo, and Amarillo. 

The brewers also gave it their secretive “enhanced by science treatment,” which Eric says “puts the hops on steroids and amps up their flavors and aromas.”

Amped up, indeed! Each sip flows surprisingly smooth, with very low bitterness. Waves of orange and passionfruit ebb and flow with a nectarous backbone of ripe nectarine. You’ll feel a pleasant bodily warmth from the ABV, but the fruit flavors mask it well on the tongue.
