About This Beer
To make it, the crew at Lumberbeard sourced local triticale malt grown in Washington’s Palouse region. They used it to brew at burly 14.5% ABV beer, then aged it for 14 months in triticale whiskey barrels from their buddies at Dry Fly Distillery!
Tasting Notes
You’ll discover notes of caramel, butterscotch, and a faint trace of cinnamon. Nuances of apple, fig, and date mingle with a subtle hint of oak on the way to a sweet and surprisingly mellow finish.

I didn’t expect to like this, but the combination of flavors worked for me.

Interesting barleywine (triticale wine?) flavor. Sweet, caramel bourbon-malt flavor, and a smoothness belying its ABV.
