A Note on This Beer
If you know about the burly ABV-loving Dutch brewery De Molen, it’s likely because they partnered with Anchorage Brewing to make one of 2018’s most exciting collaborations: A Deal With De Molen. De Molen was the only brewery that Anchorage trusted enough to create a special edition of their priceless booze-bomb.
See, Anchorage has known for a long time what most of us are just discovering: De Molen is a badass micro brewery that’s going bigger and bolder than pretty much all of their European counterparts. And they brew out of a historic windmill, which is pretty badass, too.
Today we’re sharing another one of De Molen’s booze-a-rific Dark Beers: Tsarina Esra Imperial Porter. It’s a brew with traditional European roots, innovated with a cranked-up ABV and an attitude that screams in-your-face flavor. Super rich with a full bodied mouth feel, Esra warms the palate with a 11% ABV and a silky tsunami of milk chocolate fudge, melted toffee, and black licorice that crashes over the taste buds.
For those that like their beer big, boozy, and cloaked in bold flavor — don’t miss out on a rare opportunity to taste the talents of one of The Netherland’s finest breweries.
